True Lord of the Rings, J.R.R Tolkien wrote:
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king”
The Lord of the Rings is a book of adventure that sees lead characters travel their rights’ of passage while overcoming fears and insecurities within constant view of Death‘s swift, sharp blade. “Not all those who wander are lost” is oft quoted on travel blogs; how many bloggers and travellers realize that that quote has much deeper meaning than its face value?
